We arrived at Cardigan State Park. We met the educators and played a game. Our group took the nature loop. It is shown where we hiked in the Cardigan State Forest in the map below. It is an example of Human Environment Interaction. The loop was created from humans interacting with the environment packing it down and changing it from what it can grow and sustain where humans continuously hike on through the year. On that day our group did the majority of its sketches. It drizzled slightly so we had to pull out our raincoats because of the environment. We played a vocab game in a circle and saw a Tusik caterpillar on a tree stump in the middle of our circle. Near the circle there was a man made bridge crossing a stream. It was built because humans had to cross the bridge showing interaction. After we hiked we did a pond study. We saw saw many bugs and heard across the pond Logan squish a water scorpion. Studying the environment in the pond is an example because we are learning about environment just because it is there. We also did stations inside that night scince the weather wasn't willing, one more example of HEI.

We were at Cardigan for three days. Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday
